-The main stretch of the Temperate Rain forest is along the northwestern coast of of North America. It runs from Northern California through southern Alaska.
-Small areas of the rain forests are found in Southern Chile, New Zealand and Australia.
- Longitude and Latitude: This rain forest spans a wide range of latitude - from about 40 degrees north to about 60 degrees north.
Biome:
-Although temperate rain forests are still lively and thriving, deforestation is commonly occurring, putting plant and animal species in danger for extinction.
- Large population growth and human encounters with these animals can all effect the different species in temperate rain forests.
-As well, hunting can also harm the species of animals in this biome.
Ways to Help this Biome:
Programs-
The Habitat Ecology Learning Program (HELP)
-This programs helps people become more aware of how to preserve these biomes.
